The Bvlgari two stone colored diamond and diamond ring

In a three wave bidding battle in 2010, the Bvlgari jewel was taken home by an Asian collector for $15.7 million. The origin of the bedazzling jewel dates back to 1972 and is designed by world class jewelry makers, Bvlgari.  The ring is set with a triangular-cut ‘fancy vivid’ blue diamond, weighing 10.95 carats, and another wonderful triangular-cut diamond, weighing 9.87 carats.

The highlighting feature of this stunning piece is that ‘Fancy Vivid’ blue diamonds of this size are found rarely in coloured diamonds. Only one in about 10 million possesses a color pure enough to qualify as “Fancy Vivid”. The sale price of the ring in 1972 was $1 million, quite a fortune at that time.
